Crimea State Medical University (CSMU) is attested according to the highest (the fourth) Level of accreditation. Crimea State Medical University ranks third among all Medical Universities in Ukraine & the higher medical schools in ukraine and university in Ukraine of the 4th accreditation level according to the last world ranking list of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.The University activities confirm with The Constitution of Ukraine, Official Ukrainian legislation, acts issued by the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Decrees of the Health Department and Education Department of Ukraine, the University Rules.
The Crimea State Medical University is located in the South of Ukraine on the Crimean peninsula. With its mild and sunny climate, varied and picturesque landscape, and ancient history the Crimea is a truly unique and wonderful place of the world.Currently students from 45 countries are studying at our University. We aim to offer our students an excellent education experience working closely with our university partners to ensure the quality of our education is of a very high standard.
CSMU has been recognized as the leading higher medical school of Ukraine over the last 5 years according to the state licensed examination STEP-1, STEP-2 and STEP-3 Our excellence in teaching and study was singled out by the International Educational Society (London) which certified the CSMU in 2006 and conferred the University AA category standing for ?top institution that is internationally known and recognized.
Since 1999 English has been the second language of instruction, which makes CSMU attractive for foreign citizens coming here to study. For the constant development of cooperation with foreign countries and high quality of education the University was awarded the title of laureate in the rating of Ukrainian higher schools “Sofia Kievskaya – 2004”.
For over 90 years the University has been training professional specialists. Academic excellence has been highly appreciated by the International Education Society, which has conferred the University AA rank denoting TOP INSTITUTION THAT IS INTERNATIONALLY KNOWN AND RECOGNIZED.

Hostel / Accommodation:-
The campus is built on the bank of the River Salgir in a five minutes’ walk from the educational buildings. On the opposite bank of the Salgir there is Gagarin park, the largest and most beautiful park in Simferopol, a favorite place of rest for the citizens and guests of our town.
Students who have just arrived are settled in Hostel No.2 on the territory of the University itself. Here during the first year of studies the students are adapted to life in Ukraine. On the ground floor of the same building there are classrooms of the preparatory faculty. The rooms in this hostel are for three or four persons. There is a shower room, two kitchens, a classroom on every floor. There are also several students’ canteens and cafes on the territory of the University.
Rooms in other hostels of the campus are intended for two or three persons. These hostels are of apartment type. Every apartment is for 3-5 persons and has a shower room and a lavatory.
On the territory of the campus there are food shops, 10 cafes of national Indian, Malaysian, Chinese and Arabic cuisine, several Internet-cafes, public telephones, a laundry, a sports ground and a special place for barbecue cooking. There is also a taxi park near the campus.
Hotel No. 4 there is an electronic reading hall where students may visit the University site and get an approach to all the teaching and methodical manuals necessary to prepare for classes and exams.
Both the territory of the University and the main students’ routes from the hostels to the educational buildings are protected and patrolled by officers of guard service.
